At the beginning of figuring, there was the venerable punch card, which was a restricted character interface. The next step was to use graphical user interfaces (GUI). Following the presentation of the mouse, people then had a progression of GUIs that used more and more advanced layouts with modern operating systems. Alexa is the brain behind the Amazon Echo family of devices and other Alexa-enabled devices. Using Alexa is as simple as asking a question &#8211; just ask, and Alexa responds instantly. Alexa lives in the cloud and is always getting smarter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Consider this conversation, it can look something like this:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>User<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: \u201cAlexa, do I need an umbrella today?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Alexa<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: \u201cIt might rain in Seattle today. There\u2019s a 55% chance. You can expect about 0.14 inches.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A simple question, but many different things are needed to happen to get that response. And yes, it does rain frequently in Seattle.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>How Does It All Work?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This diagram(1) is a high-level end-to-end flow for what happens when Alexa hears and responds to a question.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-7991\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rightwave.com\/rwi\/wp-content\/uploads\/Voive_B2B_img1.png\" alt=\"Voice_in_B2B_marketing\"><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alexa can make life easier and more fun. Below are some daily life examples<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Providing hands-free voice control for music and entertainment &#8211; \u201cAlexa, play me some funky music.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Using voice to manage shopping and to-do lists &#8211; \u201cAlexa, add milk to my shopping list.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Helping stay connected to the news that matters most to you &#8211; \u201cAlexa, play my flash briefing.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Controlling smart-home devices such as lights, switches, thermostats, and more &#8211; \u201cAlexa, set the bedroom to 72 degrees.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other than day to day life tasks, Alexa can also be used for integration with applications like Salesforce. Following are the usage<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Create a New Lead: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;Alexa can walk the user through the process of creating a (simple) Lead in Salesforce.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Opportunity Status:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> User can ask Alexa for the status of any Opportunity by name and she will return the amount, stage and probability.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>New Leads for Today:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> User can ask Alexa for any new Leads entered today.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Calendar for Today:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Similar to the baked-in Google calendar integration, the user can ask Alexa to check the Salesforce calendar and let User know what is upcoming for today.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Amazon Echo App:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The Amazon Echo App (iOS, Android &amp; web) allows users to view the cards and information from Alexa.
